YAYA STUDIO is the creative practice of Laila Núñez Padilla, an animation director and mixed-media artist based in Mexico City.
Operating at the intersection of cinematic storytelling and tactile art, she transforms complex historical and human narratives into evocative moving images. Her work seamlessly blends analog textures, digital collage, and frame-by-frame 2D animation for documentaries, independent films, and cultural institutions worldwide.
